9:30 AM - 10:00AM, MP Hall
The exuberating nature, compassionate souls and creative minds welcomed Team IGNITE to the heaven on earth. The Tenth Edition of IGNITE was on cards at Namma JNV. After a quick meet and greet with the Principal, Vice-Principal, Teachers and Staff, IGNITE was inaugurated in MP Hall.
Our agenda for the day was briefed to the students. Without any delay, we kick-started the ever-ambitious IGNITE after the screening of promo video.
11th and 12th Students were seated in MP Hall and 10th students had workshop in Mess. Students of class 6,7,8 and 9 were engaged in academic block.
11th and 12th Students
10:00 AM to 1:30 AM
Team Formation:
A specially designed activity catered us in forming teams among the kids and a mentor was assigned to each team. Each Mentor guided their team throughout the day.
Goal Setting & Planning:
In an effort to promulgate the importance of goal setting and planning in life, the first session was conducted. The speaker elaborated the importance of goal setting and planning. With the help of inspiring anecdotes and interesting activities, students were enlightened on how to set a goal, plan it on a minute level and channelize their efforts in achieving their goal.
Excellence:
To inspire the students to achieve perfection and giving their best efforts in every task, this session was designed. The speaker made it a point to motivate the kids to bring out the best in them.
Competitive Exams:
After the completion of 12th, there are a lot of competitive exams which the students need to be aware of. The speaker gave a quick round up of different competitive exams. This session gave a latest update on the various opportunities for kids.
Life after JNV:
Life in JNV is an experience that everyone cherishes. But there has been very less told about, what happens after JNV? In this talk, students were educated about the challenges we face after a safe-ride at JNV. The speaker made the kids to realize the importance of JNV and urged them to prepare for a daunting path ahead. Activities helped the students to open-up and interact with their friends as well as alumni.
Activities and games were conducted to teach kids the most valuable lessons in life. These infotainment activities raised the tempo of the event and were helpful in entertaining the students and imparting knowledge.
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Student Loans:
The students of 11th and 12th were informed about various education loan facilities. The speaker emphasized on the eligibility, process and the ease of getting loans. Students were inspired not to leave their passion just because of financial reasons.
The fun activities continued in this afternoon session too. Students took part enthusiastically in these specially designed games.
5:45 PM - 8:00 PM
Feedback & let-your-heart-out session:
Team IGNITE members spoke to class 11 and 12 students in different groups. We made it a point to listen to the inner voices of these amazing kids. The students shared their opinion on IGNITE; Good and not-that-good elements. These dazzling kids had a few of their personal stories to share. Their questions were addressed and their thoughts were heard.
10th Students
10:00 AM to 1:30 AM
Girls mess witnessed the inspiring sessions by the same speakers to class 10 kids. First session was on Life after JNV followed by a talk on Goal Setting & Planning.
A brief information on UPSC/KPSC exams was provided to the kids. Students were divided into 8 teams and given an opportunity to present a skit on any theme. Several interesting activities were conducted to inculcate knowledge and to entertain them.
Class 6, 7, 8 and 9 students
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Communication Skills:
To mark the tenth edition of IGNITE and to reach out to the kids of class 6, 7, 8 and 9 a mini-workshop was organized. The sessions were conducted inside their classrooms in academic block.
For junior classes (6, 7 & 8), we had an interactive session to boost the confidence and improve their communication skills. Several activities were conducted to motivate the bright young minds. These activities lifted their spirits up and taught a few important things. Class 9 students were given information about the options available after 10th and involved them in few activities.
It was heartening to receive a tremendous positive feedback. Students were benefited from one-of-its-kind workshop. All the students had a sense of belief in them and uttered the mantra of this year’s IGNITE, "We Can and We Will". Teachers appreciated the work done by Team IGNITE.
