Alumni guiding the next generation
Running since the mid-2000s. The tenth edition was held in 2014, the thirteenth in 2017.
IGNITE – Career Counselling and Personality Development
IGNITE is one of JNVCKM's flagship alumni-led initiatives, focused on career counselling and personality development for students in Classes 10, 11 and 12.
The programme brings alumni and other resource persons together to guide students in understanding career pathways, developing essential skills and preparing for life beyond school.
Highlights reported in the presentation:
- 18 editions completed at the time of the presentation.
- A typical One-day workshop.
- Participation by more than 20 to 25 alumni each year.
- Exposure to professional experiences, career options and personal development.
IGNITE exemplifies the power of alumni mentorship: helping students make informed decisions by learning from those who have travelled similar paths before them.
