JNVCKM Alumni Medical Camp

A special Medical Camp for the students and teachers of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chickmagalur was organised by JNVCKM alumni on 25 January 2015.

What made this initiative particularly special was that, unlike conventional medical camps, the programme was conducted by our own JNVCKM alumni who are medical doctors. Around 15 alumni doctors from various medical specialisations came together to serve their alma mater and provide medical screening and health consultations to the present students and teaching staff.

The doctors conducted health check-ups and screening for the students and teachers, helping identify health concerns and providing appropriate medical guidance. Medicines worth ₹20,000 were also distributed to those who required them.

The programme received appreciation from the Principal, teachers and students. At the concluding ceremony, the school expressed its gratitude for the alumni's thoughtful initiative, and all participating alumni doctors were felicitated by the school in recognition of their service.

The medical camp stands as a memorable example of the JNVCKM alumni's commitment to giving back to their alma mater—not only through financial contributions, but also through their professional expertise, time and service.
